Hours after Joe Rogan endorsed former President Donald Trump, clips of the podcast giant trashing the ex-president have resurfaced on social media.
The influential podcaster announced his support for Trump on X (formerly Twitter) Monday night ahead of an interview with Elon Musk.
“[Elon Musk]makes what I think is the most compelling case for Trump you’ll hear, and I agree with him every step of the way,” Rogan wrote. “For the record, yes, that’s an endorsement of Trump.”
But Rogan wasn’t always a Trump fan. A two-minute compilation of Rogan’s support of prominent Democrats and attacks on Trump made the rounds early Tuesday. In one of the clips from the montage — which originated from a June 2021 broadcast — Rogan called Trump “so fucking dangerous.”
“One of the reasons why I think [Jan. 6] is important is because it highlights the reasons why a guy like Donald Trump is so fucking dangerous,” Rogan said. “Because a guy can incite a bunch of morons to do something really fucking stupid.”
In another old clip from July 2022, the Spotify host referred to Trump as a “man baby,” and speculated that he was “on adderall.”
But even while endorsing Trump, Rogan criticized one of the former president’s most high-profile initiatives — Operation Warp Speed — calling it a “psyop.”
“The whole thing was fucking crazy,” Rogan said. “And everybody just went along with it.”
