Ex-Trump Attorney Roasts Alina Habba After Massive Defamation Verdict: ‘He Was Essentially Undefended’

A former attorney for Donald Trump panned the work of Alina Habba, who represented the former president in his defamation trial.

On Friday, the jury awarded E. Jean Carroll a whopping $83.3 million after Trump was found liable for defamation. Last year, he was also found liable for sexually assaulting her in the mid-1990s. Trump has repeatedly denied the claim and has called Carroll a liar while also ripping her on social media.

Trump responded to the verdict by melting down on his Truth Social platform, writing, “Absolutely ridiculous!”

Meanwhile, a defiant Habba gave a belligerent press conference outside the courthouse.

Tim Parlatore, who previously represented Trump, appeared on Friday’s installment of The Source, where Kaitlan Collins asked if Trump may be regretting choosing Habba for the job.

“She said outside court that she didn’t regret representing Trump,” the host said. “But I mean, you know both of them. Do you think it’s the other way around – that he regrets having her having represented him?”

“I don’t know,” he replied. “From my perspective, I would regret having her represent him. I mean, I do think that in both of these trials, he was essentially undefended and I think that it could’ve turned out differently. In the second trial, unfortunately, because of the way the first trial went, I don’t think anybody could’ve won the second trial. I think that once the issues were set up from the first trial, the second trial was a loser from the beginning. The question is, how big of a loser? And this goes back to, a jury’s gonna come up with a number. And you have to put on the best presentation to them to get them to come to a lower number. And so, all of these things that she did throughout the process I don’t think helps at all.”
