…Ready for It? On Tuesday, a Manhattan courtroom will be the forum for the Tortured Former Presidents Department, as closing arguments are presented in former President Donald Trump’s hush money trial, and the scenes of people lining up had MSNBC reporters comparing it to the excitement generated by a Taylor Swift concert.

The ex-president is facing 34 felony counts for falsifying business records regarding alleged hush money payments to cover up Illicit Affairs before the 2016 election — a historic first-ever criminal trial of a former U.S. president. Most of the salacious accusations Stormy Daniels has made over the years that Trump is The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived were barred by Judge Juan Merchan, but the trial has still had a number of wild moments that may leave the man from Florida!!! worried about the End Game.

The gag order imposed by Merchan has been a major source of Bad Blood for Trump, leaving him even more Down Bad after he was found to have committed multiple violations, fined several thousand dollars, and warned All Too Well that future violations could land him behind bars.

Despite repeatedly insisting that he intended to testify, Trump’s defense team rested its case without the former president taking the stand. Call It What You Want — Trump was heavily mocked by his critics as a coward for not testifying — but most legal commentators did note it would have been extraordinarily risky for him to do so. Still, Trump’s silence does not mean he’s Out of the Woods, and prosecutors scored some blows during the testimony of the final defense witness, former Michael Cohen attorney Robert Costello.

Merchan set the closing arguments to begin on Tuesday, delaying them half a Fortnight so that jury deliberations would not be split over the Memorial Day weekend — and getting a seat in that courtroom is apparently drawing a lot of interest, as NBC News’ Gary Grumbach reported that members of the public had been camping out to secure their place in line.

Grumbach made a short report on José Díaz-Balart Reports Monday morning, when anchor José Díaz-Balart asked him what had “stood out most” to him as he had covered the trial.

“I think as journalists we get jaded with our access to the courtroom,” Grumbach replied, and there were “regular, everyday Americans” who were “as we speak right now, standing in line outside” waiting to get inside Tuesday at 9 am ET. According to Grumbach, there had been “dozens and dozens” of them who have attended the trial, and they included retirees and high school students who were there to “watch and see history in the making.”

“There are people waiting in line today, for tomorrow?” asked a surprised Díaz-Balart. “This is not a Taylor Swift concert!”

“This is no Taylor Swift,” replied Grumbach, “but they were actually in line on Sunday morning, according to our cameras that were there.”

The pop star got mentioned again later Monday during Chris Jansing Reports, as Grumbach offered a more detailed report with photos and video clips of the hopeful trial attendees camping outside the courthouse.

Anchor Chris Jansing mentioned how she had previously interviewed several students who had attended the trial, getting in line at about 6:30 am to get inside for that day’s proceedings. “This is a historic moment,” said Jansing, with people telling her that it Hits Different to be inside and witness it in person, some even traveling long distances to be there.

“Chris, this is no Taylor Swift concert,” said Grumbach, “but at some point, it certainly felt like it with the length of the lines here.”

Grumbach confirmed that people had started lining up on Saturday to attend the beginning of closing arguments Tuesday. “Just remarkable, the interest that is here,” he said as photos and videos were shown of the people lined up and small tents along the sidewalk and metal barricades.

According to Just Security, Tuesday’s closing arguments will begin with Trump’s defense team, most likely with lead counsel Todd Blanche speaking, followed by the closing arguments from the prosecutors. Depending on how long closing arguments for both sides take, Merchan will read the instructions to the jury either Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday, and then the case will be the jury’s to decide if Trump is Innocent or Guilty as Sin?
