Trump Complains There Are too Few Secret Service Agents at His Rallies While Biden ‘Was Loaded Up With’ Them

Former President Donald Trump complained he has too few Secret Service agents at his rallies while claiming President Joe Biden “was loaded up” with protection.

The GOP nominee made the comments on Friday while taking questions from reporters. Last month, Trump was shot by a sniper at one of his rallies in Pennsylvania, leading to the death of one attendee and injuries for two others.

“They never gave us the number of people in terms of Secret Service people that were necessary,” Trump told reporters. “And yet Biden, who would have ten people are rally was loaded up with with Secret Service. So I’ve complained about that for a long time.”

Moreover, at least five Secret Service members have been placed on administrative leave after the July 13 assassination attempt on Trump’s life. The agents are still employed by the agency but are teleworking and are not allowed to operate in the field or conduct investigative work.

A bullet struck Trump’s right ear, while firefighter Corey Comperatore was fatally struck by the sniper. Agents then rushed the stage, surrounding Trump before pulling him into a nearby black SUV.

Democratic and Republican lawmakers on Capitol Hill have been critical of the agency for their delayed response to the shooter who was spotted on the roof by rally-goers and law enforcement minutes before the shooting took place.
