‘Insane!’ CNBC’s Jim Cramer Says He’ll Be ‘Glued To’ Trump-Elon Musk Rally — Compares To JFK
CNBC’s Jim Cramer was enthused at the news that Elon Musk will attend former President Donald Trump’s rally this weekend, calling it “insane!” and telling co-anchors Carl Quintanilla and David Faber he’ll be “glued to it.”
Two of Trump’s most ostentatious signature proposals are his “Operation Wetback”-eclipsing mass deportation program and his massive tariffs on foreign products — both of which have been panned by economic experts.
On Friday morning’s edition of CNBC’s Squawk on the Street, Quintanilla, Faber, and Cramer bantered about the news, and Cramer even compared the Musk-Trump rally to seeing JFK during the 1960 campaign against Richard Nixon — during which Cramer was 5:
JIM CRAMER: I’ve got to tell you, Pennsylvania’s so important. I got. I tried to be you know, I tried to reregister. I mean, like. Yeah, it’s impossible. I, I think. I think I have to buy a piece of the Eagles to be able to reregister.
DAVID FABER: You got Trump going back to–.
JIM CRAMER: Which I would make some changes, just to note.
DAVID FABER: –To Pennsylvania as well and guess–.
JIM CRAMER: Butler.
DAVID FABER: –Who’s going to be with them?
CARL QUINTANILLA: Elon Musk.
DAVID FABER: Elon Musk.
JIM CRAMER: Oh I know. That’s going to be something. You going to be there for that?
DAVID FABER: No I’m going to be busy at the Robotaxi day. No, I’m not going to that either. No I will not be at that–. I don’t cover politics. And in fact, I’m happy to move away from it.
JIM CRAMER: But I do want to say that that’s going to be– of the things that I’ve been interested in my life, in politics.
I got to see JFK, in Cheltenham, PA in the big race against Nixon. This is it!
CARL QUINTANILLA: Trump at Butler?
JIM CRAMER: Trump with Musk! Insane!
CARL QUINTANILLA: So you’ll be there? You’ll be in–.
JIM CRAMER: No I’m saying I’m glued to it! I– No, I said I got to see JFK. I’m not saying I’ll be– I got to see JFK. I worked for RFK.
DAVID FABER: You were very young.
JIM CRAMER: I know.
DAVID FABER: I mean, you’re not that old.
JIM CRAMER: Do you think people say, because I worked for RFK, therefore I am working for Harris, even though it’s like 172 years ago. I worked for Buchanan.
DAVID FABER: People listen to the things you say, Jim. They know you’re not working for Harris.
