Lawrence O’Donnell Stunned to Learn Trump Once Sold Urine Tests as Part of Business Empire

Lawrence O’Donnell was taken aback after learning that Donald Trump once sold Trump-branded urine tests before he became president.

Hours earlier, the former president was ordered by a judge in Manhattan to pay $354 million after he and his Trump Organization were found liable for defrauding banks and insurance companies. Trump is also barred from serving as a director or an executive at any business in New York state for three years. He said he will appeal the ruling.

On Friday’s Alex Wagner Tonight, Alex Wagner recapped Trump’s bad day in court and rattled off many of his failed business ventures.

“Trump stuck his name on everything from to golf courses and apartments, to vodka and steaks,” she said. “There was even a Trump urine test because why not? If Trump was involved, it was good business – even if it was a urine test.”

Moments later, she welcomed fellow MSNBC hosts Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O’Donnell to the show. After Maddow said the judiciary has been acting as a bulwark to check Trump’s worst impulses, O’Donnell weighed in, but noted Wagner had just taught him something.

“First of all, on your trip down Trump memory lane, I thought that I had nothing to learn,” he said. “Then came, I learned tonight, about the Trump urine tests… I had no idea that he was that interested in–”

“Urine,” Wagner said.

“I know there are people in the audience who are still processing that and I wanted to help them with it and move on to this,” he said.

The subtext of their exchange centers on a salacious claim found in the infamous Steele dossier – a gathering of raw intelligence on Trump collected by an ex-British spy who did opposition research for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign. One explosive but unproven charge was that a video existed of Trump enjoying a “golden shower.”

The Trump urine test was called PrivaTest, one of which is currently for sale on eBay for the low, low price of $500. According to the box it comes in, it is a “unique metabolic test that measures your body’s cellular function to determine which vitamins, minerals & phytonutrients it needs to achieve optimal health.”

Users of the test were instructed to collect their urine in the container provided and “FedEx the test FREE to our lab” to “Receive your personal Lab Report.”
