‘Don’t YOU Think Trump Is Dangerous?’ CNN Anchor Gets Put On The Spot While Talking ‘Trump Fascist’ Messaging

CNN anchor Kasie Hunt was put squarely on the spot after she criticized the focus on former President Donald Trump being labeled a “fascist” by his top ex-aides — when a panelist bluntly asked if she thinks they’re wrong.

Former Trump Chief of Staff John Kelly began a dambreak of Trump national security officials — former Joint Chiefs Chairman Mark Milley and ex-Trump Secretary of Defense Mark Esper among them — agreeing Trump is a fascist. Vice President Kamala Harris was asked in an interview if she agrees with them, and she replied in the affirmative.

On Thursday’s edition of CNN This Morning, Hunt suggested that the VP’s closing message that Trump is “dangerous” is in conflict with Sen. Tammy Baldwin’s (D-WI) campaign for reelection, and Woodhouse put her on the spot by asking “Don’t you think Donald Trump is dangerous?”

Hunt was taken aback, laughing the question off, but later appeared to acknowledge there are “reasons” to believe that:

BRAD WOODHOUSE: There’s nothing novel about about that. There’s nothing. You know, Kamala Harris is reaching out to Republicans. Kamala Harris is reaching out–.

KASIE HUNT: Well it’s novel when you have supporters top of the ticket calling her opponent a fascist, I mean the disparity is–

BRAD WOODHOUSE: Let’s remember promo here? She’s not running a single ad in this country calling Donald Trump a fascist. She was asked a question on, you know, on on a news program. And, of course,.

KASIE HUNT: Sure, but she’s dangerous in the closing message ad–. (CROSSTALK) It may not use the word “fascist”–

BRAD WOODHOUSE: I mean, January 6, Kasie! Don’t you think–. Don’t you think Donald Trump is dangerous?

KASIE HUNT: I’m not– That’s not the point that I’m making– (LAUghs0

BRAD WOODHOUSE: But no, but nobody is running a campaign calling Donald Trump–

KASIE HUNT: Baldwin is saying nice things about Donald Trump while the top of the ticket is saying he’s dangerous — for the reasons that you outlined.

BRAD WOODHOUSE: She didn’t say that. You have she did not say anything nice about Donald Trump (CROSSTALK) the ad said that he signed her bill. That’s that’s a that’s a compliment to her, not to him.
