Week 12 of the NFL season wraps up with an AFC matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans.
Both teams are hovering on the periphery of the AFC Wild Card hunt. The Ravens, at 5-5, have been a Jekyll Hyde squad in 2017. The good? Blowout wins over Miami, Oakland, and Green Bay. The bad? Blowout defeats against Jacksonville, Pittsburgh, and a loss against woeful Chicago. Which Ravens club will show up on Monday night?
Houston’s season, of course, suffered a major setback when rookie quarterback DeShaun Watson suffered a torn ACL, ending what had been a terrific rookie campaign. Last week,
Tom Savage got the Texans their first win since he took over for Watson — leading Houston to a win over Arizona. Following this tricky road assignment on Monday night, the Texans have a fairly week schedule the rest of the way, with three divisional games, plus a date with NFC-worst San Francisco still coming up.
With teams like Buffalo and San Diego winning this week, the Ravens and the Texans didn’t get a favorable series of results from teams they’re likely to be up against for the Wild Card spots. As a result, if these two clubs have any playoff hopes, they’d do well to post a win on Monday night.
Kickoff for is set for 8:30 p.m. ET. Sean McDonough and Jon Gruden have the call. You can catch the action live on ESPN, or stream it online free with a cable subscription via WatchESPN on your pc, phone, or tablet. WatchESPN can be downloaded from Apple’s iTunes Store, and the Google Play Store.
