Republican Congressional Candidate Tells Muslim Congresswomen They Should ‘Consider Leaving Before I Get There,’ Adds ‘#BombsAway’

Randy Fine

A Republican running for a congressional seat that will soon be vacant appeared to threaten Reps. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib by telling them they should consider quitting Congress, adding, “#BombsAway.”

Florida state Sen. Randy Fine is running in Florida’s Sixth Congressional District, which is currently represented by Mike Waltz. President-elect Donald Trump nominated Waltz as National Security Advisor, which means Waltz will need to resign from Congress to take the position.

Fine, who is Jewish, touted the endorsement of the Republican Jewish Coalition on Tuesday by referring to himself as the “Hebrew Hammer” while tagging Omar and Tlaib in a tweet.

“The “Hebrew Hammer” is coming,” he wrote. “@RashidaTlaib and @IlhanMN might consider leaving before I get there. #BombsAway.”

Omar and Tlaib are two of three Muslim members of Congress and are the only two Muslim women in the chamber. They have been critical of Israel, especially since it launched the war in Gaza. Tlaib, who, is the only member of Congress of Palestinian descent, was censured by the House last year for allegedly “promoting false narratives regarding the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack on Israel and for calling for the destruction of the state of Israel.”

Fine has made incendiary remarks before.

“I have news for the embarrassment that claims to be our President — try to take our guns and you’ll learn why the Second Amendment was written in the first place,” Fine wrote in 2022. Earlier that year, he said a peaceful protest by Democratic legislators was “far worse” than the January 2021 Capitol riot.
