‘It’s Pure Fear’: Hezbollah Fires Missile Into Israel Amid Concerns of Larger Conflict Brewing

Hezbollah fired a guided missile at an Israeli tank Tuesday amid growing concern the Iran-linked terror group with massive missile stockpiles could enter the ongoing Israeli-Hamas conflict.

“There are problems that are coming across the border from Lebanon. And 17 years ago, everything was coming across the border from Lebanon,” began Fox News anchor John Roberts on Tuesday, adding:

Today, there was an anti-tank missile that was fired by Hezbollah into northern Israel. The IDF returned fire, took out an observation post. What what are your fears that Hezbollah might say, you know what, we have to throw in with Hamas, We need to start firing the thousands upon thousands of rockets that we have toward Israel.

“Fears is is I don’t even know, as you see, that I was so shocked by what’s happening to us,” responded Eliana Neustrat, a resident of northern Israel.

“I don’t even know what’s going to happen. And it is so scary. The family of my future husband lives up north. We don’t really. I’m sorry for the noise. There’s an Air Force base right next to us and, yeah, I’m honestly, I’m not I’m not sure what to tell you. It’s pure fear,” Neustrat concluded.

“The violence, triggered by the war between Israel and Palestinian militants, marks the most serious escalation along the Lebanese-Israeli frontier since the 2006 conflict between Hezbollah and Israel,” noted Reuters on Tuesday, which also reported:

The Israeli army said no injuries were reported in Tuesday’s attack by Hezbollah, three of whose fighters were killed on Monday in Israeli shelling into Lebanon.

A salvo of rockets was also fired from Lebanon into Israel on Tuesday, in an attack a security source in Lebanon said was carried out by Palestinian factions. There was no immediate claim of responsibility.

The Israeli military said it responded with artillery fire to launches coming from Lebanese territory. It said some 15 rockets were launched from Lebanon, of which four were intercepted and 10 fell in open spaces.

A total of six combatants were killed in Monday’s violence, the deadliest day at the frontier since the 2006 war. The clashes began when the Palestinian Islamic Jihad group mounted a cross-border attack into Israel, where Israeli forces killed two of its gunmen. An Israeli officer also died.

President Joe Biden warned other actors in the Middle East, including Hezabollah, not to get involved in the current conflict, which began when Hamas launched a massive attack on Israel Saturday morning. The attack left over 1,000 Israelis dead and thousands more injured. Hamas also kidnapped more than 150 Israelis, mostly civilians.
