‘Textbook Rhetoric Of Ethnic Cleansing’: AOC and Omar Trash Lindsey Graham For ‘Declaring a Holy War’ Over Murders Of Jews By Hamas
Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham exploded in an interview with Sean Hannity on Wednesday, blasting Americans sympathizing with Hamas after the horrific terror attacks on Israel and describing the militant Islamist group controlling Gaza as “modern-day religious Nazis” who want to ethnically cleanse the Middle East and destroy the nation of Israel entirely. In response, Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted that actually it’s Lindsey Graham who is the bad one.
Graham shared a short clip of his Fox News appearance in a post on X (formerly Twitter), along with the comment, “We’re in a religious war and I unapologetically Stand with Israel.”

He also said in that interview with Hannity, “Hamas doesn’t want a two-state solution, it wants a one-state solution, the destruction of the Jewish people. The last group tried to do that were the Germans. Look what happened. Fifty million people died.”
“The Israelis, when they say ‘never again,’ they mean it. Dammit, they mean it,” said Graham.
Ocasio-Cortez responded to Graham’s message with a quote-reply post on X, claiming that Graham’s remarks are “textbook rhetoric of ethnic cleansing.” She referred to the wanton slaughter of Jews as an “horrific trauma” and said it would be an “affront to humanity” to “weaponize” it.
This is textbook rhetoric of ethnic cleansing that cannot be accepted in any civil society, let alone the United States.

Democrat and fellow “Squad” member Rep. Ilhan Omar, who has repeatedly come under fire for her own anti-Semitic remarks, also reacted to Graham’s comments.

The actual ethnic cleansing called for by leaders of Hamas and Iran did not come up in either of those tweets, nor did the two Democrats mention that the organization has declared a day of global mobilization against Israel on Friday, or that former Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal issued a call for the entire ” the Arab and Islamic world” to launch more attacks on Israel.
“The borders are close to you, you all know your responsibility,” Meshaal said in a recorded call to arms.
Contrary to Omar’s suggestion that the South Carolina Republican invented the religious aspect of wars in the Middle East, in the full clip of Graham’s comments to Hannity he specifically referenced the often and explicitly stated aim of Hamas leaders and Iran’s Ayatollah to wipe Israel from the map.
As the video shows, Graham’s “Holy War” quote was in reference to the goals and beliefs of the Hamas terrorists, rather than a declaration of his own religious aims, as AOC and Omar attempted to suggest:
Well, every civilian killed in Gaza. I blame Hamas, not Israel. The Israelis will try to reduce civilian casualties.
But at the end of the day, what did we do to end the Third Reich? We bombed Berlin into oblivion. That was the only way you could bring Hitler to an end.
What did we do with Tokyo? It took nuclear, two nuclear bombs to deal with that fanatical group. The people we’re dealing with have been programed since birth to hate the Jews. They’re modern-day religious Nazis.
You have to pull this problem up by the roots. You have to go into Gaza. You have to shut down Hamas as we know it. You have to occupy the area until you get people you can live with there.

And to Cornel West and the Black Lives Matter Group who believes that Israel is responsible. That’s bullshit. I thought you were smart people. And the kids at Harvard? You’re blaming the Israelis? Please. This is just absolutely appalling, disgusting to the Secretary General of the United Nations, who I consider a friend. You said today we had to understand this conflict in a greater context. My friend, Hamas doesn’t want us a two-state solution. They want to kill the Jews just like the Nazis did.
I am tired of appeasing the Hamas, apologizing for them. They want to kill Israel. So does the Iran. The Ayatollah wants to destroy the Jewish state. They don’t want to coexist with Israel.
This is not a land problem, a boundary problem, it’s a problem of you cannot live in my world. My God determines that you die. The Germans believed that the Jews were inferior people, and their goal in the final solution was to eradicate the Jewish people.
Well, Iran and Hamas believes that the Jewish people should die as a result of religious teachings. We’re in a religious war. Here I am with Israel. Do whatever the hell you have to do to defend yourself. Level the place.
